Ombak Rindu : Total Review by
Assalamualaikum to all romantik, lovely-dovely girls and egoist boy~ xD
It's 30th of November, where I had an multiplayer fight with one of my friend. During night, he surf at the GSC 9Golden Screen Cinema) website and look what's new. And it happen, the next day was the release of Ombak Rindu. For some reason, he feel that he want to watch the movie. As it happen, i want to tag along, since it's was my first romantic movie I've ever watch. And so, last Sunday, me, my friend and some other friends and his sister, went to Alor Star from Arau with KTM. At that time, most of the passenger were also students from UiTM, expecting to watch the same movie.
So, why I'm explaining all this? You will see later in this post.
Before I go though the overall review, here's some sypnopsis for you in case if you didn't watch the movie yet:
"Menjadi anak yatim
piatu, dilacurkan oleh bapa saudara sendiri serta berhadapan dengan
pelbagai dugaan dalam kehidupan dan cinta. Itulah antara liku-liku yang
terpaksa diharungi oleh insan bernama Izzah lakonan aktres jelita, Maya
Karin dalam filem terbarunya, Ombak Rindu.
Izzah (Maya
Karin), gadis yatim piatu yang kematian ibu dan ayah akibat kemalangan
jalan raya. Justeru itu, ayah saudaranya, Taha, mengambil tugas
memelihara Izzah. Pada masa sama, Pak Cik Taha banyak berhutang.
Disebabkan kesempitan wang dia sanggup menjual Izzah kepada seorang
tauke kelab malam.
Di situlah dia
berkenalan dengan seorang pelanggan bernama Hariz (Aaron Aziz). Hariz
sanggup ‘membeli’ Izzah dengan harga yang mahal dari tauke kelab itu
dan mahu membawa dia keluar dari neraka jahanam itu.
Atas permintaan Izzah, akhirnya Hariz berkahwin dengan Izzah, tetapi dengan syarat semuanya mesti dirahsiakan.
Kehadiran Mila
Amylia, anak Tan Sri Rashdan, iaitu model dan pelakon terkenal tanahair
menggugat cinta Izzah yang mula berputik kepada Hariz. Dapatkah Izzah
menerima Mila Amylia sebagai madunya? Bahagiakah rumah tangga yang
dibina di atas kehadiran orang lain? Bagaimanakah tindakan Datuk Sufiah
setelah mengetahui cerita sebenarnya?
First of all, I want to comment the good part. The camera angle. Almost all of it, the cameraman really know how to play with the scenery, especially with the weather scenery. There is a scene where there's a sunset light came towards both Aaron Aziz and Maya Karin, and the scene were astonishing! And there's another scene where Datin Sufiah kick out Maya Karin from the house, and there's a lightning, coz at that scene, it was raining. As a lightning struck, the light goes to the Datin Sufiah face, with evil and hatred faces. And if I'm going to give points, I would like to give 6/5.
Then goes to the story line. Basically, some of the story line were kinda predictable. So, for those who didn't read the original novel (like me), don't worry. It's still enjoyable, and you're kinda can predict what will happen next. One of the example that I can give to you guys is, the obvious one that I found. There's a character who serve with Hariz's family, know that Hariz was married with Izzah. At that moment, we can see that the character was praising to Allah, saying that he's married. He's behavior shows exactly like a father who just found out a good news for his own son. At almost the end of the story, the character (sorry, I can't remember the name of the character) expose the truth in front of Hariz, saying that he is his true, blood related father. There's another clue where Izzah asked him about the total of his children. At first, he said that he has 6 child, but his wife correct it as 7. As we know, no women can forgot the exact total number of her child. So, where's the missing one that the character forgot? Exactly, Hariz. He's trying to keep it a secret, because of his promise with Datin Sufiah's husband.
As I said, some of the story line were kinda predictable. But overall, the movie is kinda long, suitable with how many pages the novel has.
Next, the acting. Personally, I think Lisa Surihani was the most suitable person to act as Izzah. But for a change, I want to see the bad, selfish, ego side of her. Aaron Aziz is not so bad, since he have the experiance in acting all lovely-dovely drama. As for Maya Karin, although she's not suitable for the character, but she know how to show the feeling of fear, sad and pretending to smile, which is kinda different from Lisa Surihani.
There is something that make us all proud of. Some of the scene were actually taken from both Perlis and Kedah. There is a scene where Izzah want to go to KL with her uncle. The KTm was actually KTM Alor Star, and it was exactly the same station we arrived from Arau to Alor Star. Almost half of the viewer go wild, saying that it's Alor Star KTM station. And another part is when Lisa Surihani appear in the movie, both me and my friend called her Selena Gomez. All thanks to her lips.

I have a great time with my friend. But because of him, I buy a sunglasses and a DOMO keychain. At first, I don't know why I did buy it in the first place, but I think I started to like DOMO~ LOL~
