It's raining...with ICE! by

Assalamualaikum and a very good day~

Hi there bored girls and boys! I bet most of your areas had heavy rain lately, right? I think the only area that dry is around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Nevertheless, Rompin receive a lot of rain lately. But something weird happen...and it's the second time since last year during June. It's...RAINING ICE!

The first time it occur is during last year, around June. At that time, I already started studying in UiTM Arau, Perlis. I receive a call from my sister, saying that it's raining ice, and it's raining heavily. I was shock at first, didn't believe what my sister told me, but after looked at most of my junior's photo, it was raining ice.

And how fortunate for me, it's occur again yesterday, 22/04/2012. But with excitement, there's tragedy as well. 2 people died and 3 missing at the beach near to my house. Here's my story:

It was Sunday. Me and my best buddy head to the morning market (usual activity every Sunday) and buy some stuff. Since my buddy's parent went to Kuantan and he was left alone, I have to keep him company for a while.

It's 2.00PM, and my friend cook something for himself and for me as well. Before we ate, I look up in the sky, and I thought something was really wrong with the sky, but I can't recall why. After our lunch, we play games, we went to the beach to have some fresh air from the beach. We remember that there's a few fishermen at the sea, and people picnic just at the sea shore. It was calm and peaceful at that time. After a few minutes, my friend sent me home.

After 45 minutes, the rain started. And it's raining heavily. At that time, I was watching Running Man, so I wasn't really concern about what's going on outside. Since there's lightning, I shut down my laptop and lay down at my bed, when suddenly my sister make some loud noise. To my surprise, when I open my door, I saw ice...falling from the sky. I was like:

" . . . .WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!! "

To my excitement, I check out the ice really carefully. I warn to my youngest cousin not to eat the ice, as it may contain harmful chemical inside the ice. During that time, the electricity power went off. We didn't have electricity for 2 hours. During that period, we heard that 2 people died at the beach. The cause of death is the tree fell right into the person who was looking for shelter. I was shock and on edge. I decide to check it out when I have time.

It was 3.00AM, I was watching Running Man, when all the sudden, it's blackout for the whole resident area. I can see the TNB personal try to fix the problem. Although it's temporally solution, I hope they'll repair it as soon as possible to avoid power problems. If we;re having blackout a lot of times, our electronic devices would malfunctioning, and that's not good to most of the people who rely on electronic devices.

I can't sleep during that time, so I decided to check out the area. To my surprise, I discover that only a few trees that receive heavy damage, but not the rest that close to that particular tree. Judging the mark from the tree, I can conclude that it's the lightning that struct the tree was the main cause.

My friend call this morning, and he wants to confirm from me that there's death and missing people at the beach. Then he say from his Facebook:

Yup, the very same beach is our usual spot to hang out.

So that's the story. I'm sorry for the lack of picture, due to the excitement of playing and discover the raining ice for the first time. If it occur again, I'll make sure that I'll capture a lots of picture for it.

Al-Fatihah to the 2 person who just died, and let us pray so that the missing people would be found. Until then, take care and be careful when driving during the heavy rain.

Facebook: Pros and Cons to local teenagers in Malaysia~ by

Have you looked at this before~? It’s an idea from my relative Mosh Bil Kalam about what should I write~ If you forgot where this snapshot come from, you can refer to this entry~

Okay, last idea is about my burden / responsibility of being an eldest~ Now, the next topic that I would like to discuss is about Facebook~ Yeah, idea number three~

I bet almost 90% of Malaysian have their own Facebook account~ Nah, just kidding~ According to this site, current Malaysian population are approximately 28,728,607, Malaysian internet user are 16,902,600 as of June/09, (58.8%) and 11,221,040 Facebook users on June 30/11, (39.1%)~ Yeah, at first, I surprise that I thought almost 90% of the Malaysian would have Facebook account, not to mention to those who have 2 or more account~ But I do heard from other source that Malaysian Facebook user are more than Malaysia population~ If someone who have the information, please let me know~ >.<

ALMOST EVERYONE have their own Facebook account~ No matter where you come from, what ages you are, almost everybody have their own account~ It is the most popular hobby for teenagers~ *Ouch~ >.<* And there will be no stop~ The question is, what is the pros and cons of Facebook for local teenagers in Malaysia~?

HERE COMES MY OPINION~! ^_^

Many people said that social network service (SNS) have a lot of disadvantage~ And I couldn't agree more for most of the point given~ Here are the cons of Facebook to teenagers:

Once you log in the Facebook, you'll stay in the Facebook~ It's really hard for most of the teenagers to log out their account~ In other word, ADDITIVE~
Most of teenagers time will wasted for log in Facebook~ The average time for them to online are around 45 minutes - 3 hours~! For those who didn't realize, we can use most of the time to do a lot of useful stuff, like jogging or finish up homework / assignment~ In other word, WASTING TIME~
FAKERS~! This is one of the most annoying things whenever I log in to Facebook~ Seriously, I don't usually approve friend request if I didn't know him / her~ But, for some reason, I approve, hopefully that person know me, and i know that person, but I didn't realize in the first place~ But simply to put, THERE'S A LOT OF FAKERS~!
Even their private life are posted in Facebook~ And the most annoying part for me is when I read a threats of comment...full of a 2 person who fall in love to each other saying 'I love you', 'Love you too', 'Sayang dah makan?', and others~ Seriously, I would say, EWWWWWWWW~! Please, don't post something like that~ If you still want to contact each other with Facebook, just private message (PM) to each other~ Oh, that's not all~ Even teenagers post their anger, appointment, happiness and other feelings~ And I think, they let the whole world think that you're plain idiots...Yes, idiots~ But I'll would express differently if the person express their feeling in a manner way / intelligent way~ That way, we (readers) would think that you have a point of posting your anger or what so ever in Facebook~
If I told you that a person would commit suicide because of Facebook~? Yes, believe it or not, there are some cases when a person try to kill him / herself because of receiving a message though Facebook, teasing that person, and demoralize that person~ It's called MENTAL BULLYING~
Before this and recently, there's a lot of post regarding Illuminati and Freemason, and as usually, we, Malay, trust the post without even make sure of it~ You know, there's a blogger named Mr.K who really conduct some research about these things and he troll it out~ Proving that all of the post are spam / hoax~ Yes, FAKE NEWS AND WE'RE HAPPEN TO BELIEVE IT~
Most of the teenagers will turn from unsociable person to someone who dare to go out during the night~ Teenagers would change their character though Facebook, believe it or not~ This is due when the person read and follow almost everything that posted in Facebook~ In other word, ONE WOULD CHANGE THOUGH FACEBOOK BY BAD INFLUENCE FROM THE INTERNET~
MOST OF THE EMPLOYEE WERE SACKED BECAUSE OF FACEBOOK, believe it or not~

Woah, there's a lot of points about cons, is it~? Well, we can't deny about it though~ Most of the points were true,and there's nothing we can do about it~ But how about pros~?

Well, there's a bit list from me about it~ Here goes nothing:

Sometimes, I didn't know recent news about my UiTM and stuff~ With Facebook, I can communicate between me and a group page so that I would keep updated by time to time~ For example, I am a group member of UiTM ARAU, PERLIS KEMASUKAN MEI 2011~ Over time to time, they will post something that I should know~ Example, what's up, when's the test, changes around UiTM, event, and other stuff~ So yeah, Facebook is a medium to post notification to other student about something useful.
Did I mention about suicide case in cons~? For pros...Facebook can save someone's life~! This is due when person 'A' post a suicidal notes (well, typical~ In Malay, we called it 'wasiat'~) though Facebook, and at the same time, 'B' and 'C' read the suicide note and rush to 'A''s house and rescue 'A'~ Well, for some reason, Facebook CAN SAVE LIFE ~
If you're a desperate person, Facebook is a good platform to search for love~ And yeah, there are a few cases that they found their match with Facebook~ And most of them already married~ However, if you're not married yet, please don't do 'Ewww', 'Ewww', stuff in Facebook~ If you're already married, then it's okay~

Well, that's all that I can think of~ And I was hoping to find more~ If you find other pros or cons of Facebook to local teenagers in Malaysia, just let me know,and I'll add the point and credit to you~ ^_^
